Conference | From detail to global vision via GreenSpaces
R3GIS @MyPlant & Garden 2025
Conference | From micro to macro in the GreenSpaces platform
20 February, 14:00 - 15:30 | Conference Hall (Hall 20 - M42)
The efficient management of urban greenery has become a crucial priority for modern cities, requiring an approach that balances detailed analysis with a global strategic vision.
Digital twins make it possible to create extremely detailed virtual representations of every single tree in the city. This allows for constant and accurate monitoring of the health and growth of plants.
Comparative rankings and reports, such as the Husqvarna Urban Green Space Index (HUGSI), allow cities to evaluate their own performance against similar cities. This comparison stimulates healthy competition and pushes administrations to continuously improve.
At the conference, GreenSpaces users will present specific examples of how the use of digital twins enables more accurate and efficient management of trees in cities and how global monitoring empowers cities to measure themselves against other cities to improve their management practices.
