Within the Solutions team, we are currently looking for an experienced Back-End Software Developer with a solid background in building scalable data web applications.
Who we are
We’re an established software company based in South Tyrol, Bolzano, Italy. We develop carefully crafted mobile and web-based solutions with GIS components for our clients from the public and private sector distributed mainly (but not only) across Europe. We develop innovative projects with European funding.
Your Primary Roles
- Specify and implement APIs and other I/O interfaces for data queuing, database storage, and application-to-application data exchange
- Communicate and work closely with management and CTO to schedule delivery of feature sets, estimate task timeframes, and follow agile iteration processes
- Document code and maintain applications as a new functionality is developed and new deployments and revisions rolled out
- Research and evaluate new technologies to be used as enhancements or upgrades to existing server clusters, computing applications and other IT infrastructure components
- The opening is a full-time position.
Your Education/Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Hands on experience with modern PHP and Symfony
- 3+ years building web applications / web services
- Ability to effectively and independently own areas of development and contribute to development deliverables as part of a team
- Good knowledge of SQL language
- Good analytic skills and problem-solving oriented attitude
- English language proficiency
Nice To Have
- Experience with PostgreSQL databases
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems and geodata
- Knowledge of software versioning tools
- Fluent in Italian and/or German
