R3GIS' recent participation in the international trade fair Flormart was key in bringing innovation and international collaboration to our commitment to sustainable urban green. The event not only provided an opportunity to share our latest products, but also provided a space to consolidate important partnerships and realise concrete projects.
One of the highlights of the fair was the final event of the Interreg VerdeVale project, of which R3GIS is the lead partner. An initiative aimed at promoting the activities carried out during the extension of the project from September 2022 to date, for the valorisation of green areas from both an environmental and an economic point of view. In addition, in recent months R3GIS organised an exciting photo contest that captured the beauty of urban greenery by passionate photographers. The initiative ended with the awarding of prizes to the twelve finalist photos.
But the news does not end there. A highlight was the meeting with the Undersecretary for Agriculture Patrizio La Pietra and the Councillor for Green Areas in Padua Antonio Bressa, with whom R3GIS is working closely on the greehill survey of street trees. The aim of this new project is to provide precise data and high quality images for revolutionary information on the urban forest. The collaboration with Padua is a concrete example of how the public and private sectors can work together to improve the quality of life in cities through the implementation of innovative state-of-the-art solutions.
Furthermore, R3GIS had the honour of hosting a delegation from Saudi Arabia and Eastern Europe, demonstrating the global appeal of the GreenSpaces platform. These meetings opened new doors for international collaboration, as demonstrated by the partnership agreement signed at Flormart with the Greek company Urbangreen. This partnership promises to bring concrete benefits for both parties and contribute to the creation of greener and more liveable cities.
In conclusion, the participation of R3GIS in the Flormart International Fair was a great opportunity. These results are a tangible sign of how innovation and sustainability can work together to shape the future of our cities.
