R3GIS recently signed an agreement with the green tech company greehill, defining cooperation for Italy and Italian Switzerland.
The new partnership allows administrations to take the management of urban forests to the next level. We believe that our twenty-year experience in digital solutions for green management will be strengthened by greehill's technological expertise in tree data collection.
Using a unique combination of laser scanning, machine learning and AI, greehill gathers precise data and quality images of up to 50,000 trees per day, creating a digital twin of every tree. In GreenSpaces we integrate the information extracted from digital twins, so that trees can be managed in the most efficient way.
Both our work and visions are going in the same direction. Today, over 50% of the population lives in cities, and as cities grow, their exposure to climate and disaster risk increases. City administrations must take quick action for further developing urban green areas with high environmental value, making cities more sustainable and resilient.
With this in mind, we are already integrating greehill's latest data and insight at the individual tree level into our platform GreenSpaces, to make reliable information available to some of our Italian and Swiss clients, and support their strategic decisions with real data scenarios. Our common aim is to increase operational efficiency in green management and maximise the benefits of each individual tree for the well-being of citizens.
